Agak telat si bikin ini posting...
Well,,,this is like a miracle, March 27, 2010, for the first time I was abroaadd!!
and due to Super Junior,,,hahaha.. Yes, indeed, I went abroad for the first time, alone, just to watch Suju's Concert.. OMO!!
But, of course it's a bless from God, Alhamdulillah, coz from Him, I knew Laila, a colleague of mine in Kuala Lumpur, she's the one who accompanying me at the first day till before the concert,,,
ok, so basically, i just want to share the tips for all of you who wants to go abroad and perhaps alone or with ur friends but they never go abroad also..ehhee and after that i'll share a bit about Sushow 2 in Malay ;p (in different posting)
So, prepare these things when u're going abroad:
1. Passport (of course lah ya): similiar to international identity (KTP kalo di Indonesia) nah, cara buatnya? datang aja ke imigrasi bawa KK, Ijazah, surat keterangan kerja dari kantor, akta lahir (lengkapnya bisa dicek d web yaa), trus nanti dfoto and d wawancara sbentar (mau kemana, yah bout ur identity)
2. NPWP (nomor pokok wajib pajak - tax identification number), tapi katanya 2011 udah g perlu NPWP ko, means, u wont have to pay Fiscal Charges..yipppiee,,but be careful with ur goddies yaa, akan ada pajak oleh-oleh katanya..haia
3. Flight Tickets and Hotel booking confirmation (if you already booked)
Nanti kalo udah ke bandara, check in, show ur passport, and pay airport tax and u'll be given boarding pass and 2 forms (arrival n departure): fill in and keep safely under ur passport
After that, go to tax counter, and show ur tix, boarding pass, passport and NPWP, to claim for fiscall free,,
and enter the gate, go to immigration board and give the doc mentioned above (here ur departure form will be taken by the immigration) and ur passport will be marked: Indonesia Immigration something
Rest, are the same with local destination,,and u ready to go abroad..=))
Sampe sana, ketemu imigrasi lagi d, tunjukin dokumen yang sama, trus pasport mu dicap juga,,and WELCOME to abroad
KLIA, Changi, are the example of 'complicated' airport,,
and I always love the feeling after u arrived and walk down from the plane...aahh,, the air so refreshing =))
Tips lain yang penting:
2. Siapin Uang receh mata uang sana, tuker dari sini aja, buat siap2 (transportation purpose)
5. Perhatiin cuaca negara yg mau didatengin
6. Bagusnya siapin tempat2 yg mau didaatengin dari jauh2, cari info, kesana kalo pae publik transportation gimana..jd disana bisa maksimal, apalgi kalo weekends doank, ehehehh
7. kalo muslim, pas liat makanan, tanya aja, halal atau ga..
sampai sini dulu =)
Semoga berguna
Cheers

Extreme Toyota - Berguru Kesuksesan
Annyeonghaseyo =),
For all this time, perhaps we always think that the success of Toyota depends on its innovative invention for automotive production process, but then, it's not only about that, in fact, the biggest secret is on their Paradigm and Human Capital management.
They called it paradox paradigm or Paradox Management, which is very good to be considered and if can, implemented:
I'll write it in Bahasa:

For all this time, perhaps we always think that the success of Toyota depends on its innovative invention for automotive production process, but then, it's not only about that, in fact, the biggest secret is on their Paradigm and Human Capital management.
They called it paradox paradigm or Paradox Management, which is very good to be considered and if can, implemented:
I'll write it in Bahasa:
- Memupuk sikap berHEMAT dan CERMAT tetapi mengeluarkan DANA BESAR untuk membangun SDM dan Proyek Pengembangan
There are two interesting things here:
- first, most companies always focus on pushing their employee to do their job maximally without think carefully about the need and must of employee - that they need to be grown in order to maximize their potential and keep updating to the changes outside..
- second, my current institute, well I've to say it, in my 'paradigm' a bit lavish, for example 'official journey' fee for hotel and transportation, one side of course IT IS Money and everybody will be happy to receive it, but, considering the total amount that my institute have to spend for this kind of activity..hemmm.. a lot can be saved,,, i guess it'll be not popular policies, but we do can allocate the money for each individual development..
2. Bersifat Hierarkis dan BIROKRATIS tetapi mendorong PERBEDAAN PENDAPAT
- This is very - very great, I know Japanese Companies are usually bureaucratic, but considering that they respect for difference in opinion, makes me bit surprised, and of course, if we want to change, we've to respect other's people opinion without giving a judgment whether they're younger, less experience or even less smart than us..
- SO, i guess, this is what my institution need. As time goes by, I realize that the bureaucratic of govt institution is not debatable, indeed it's their inherent characteristics. why? because they're very fragile and open to any public indictment because of their policies. Hence, they need to be bureaucratic so the process and accountability are clear. BUT, too long in bureaucratic confinement of course will discourage people to express their opinion, coz the negative side of bureaucracy is the potentiality of abusing power and this is what makes govt institution STUCK in their place and NOT Move or Look Forward.
- That's why, to be a better one but still maintaining our characteristic, the institution must encourage people to express their opinion without unnecessary fear.
- this is also interesting, after all this time, based on my experience, I always think that if it's gonna be a huge hit, make it one shot and let it bleed, but it CHANGED!
- Well, here, I realized that living in such a big institution,,,wont that easy as my previous company,, eventough it's the biggest company (in terms of revenues), they doing the changes bit by bit, region by region, country by country...So, considering it character also, i guess, to move forward slowly but sure but doing a great lap, is perhaps the best way.
4. Bertujuan membentuk stabilitas tetapi mendorong POLA PIKIR PARANOID agar terus berubah
- Clearly stated in our mission is to stabilize currency, so no wonder it's inherited in it's working culture. Well, anyway, I guess most people will prefer stability than dynamic situation, right? stabilization is good of course, in one aspects, esp in business world.. but again as two side of coins, when it comes to your COMFORT ZONE and it must be changed due to environment demand, people may act way far than your imagination, just to maintain their safe position (oops ;D).
- Back again, changing paranoid paradigm to open-for-change paradigm is a must to be able to do continuous improvement
5. Beroperasi dengan efisien dan memperoleh hasil berlimpah
- This is what I admire from Japanese Culture: Efficiency but Effective. My God, this is a very good culture to be learned by our country, esp me ;p
- My previous company, already quite efficient (except for safety matters), but what I can think is how we can: Work Smart rather than Work Hard
- This is also important with work smart we can have Work Life Balance
And another tips are their cultures:
2. Genhi Genbutsu: See and look the problems with yourself directly - not only behind ur desk
Hence, the question is, what can we do to implement this good things in our own world?
Let's try even it's a small step =)
Cheers

serius, gw declare my self as a simpatisan SBY (walaupun ga terdaftar secara resmi, hehe)
tadinya gw mo pilih partai lain, tapi that party says that, if they win at this pemilu legislatif, mereka mo minta jatah presiden dari partai demokrat (whatt???) masa SBY jadi wapres??
serius, gw rasa dengan segala kekurangan yang dimiliki SBY sebagai manusia biasa, me my self menganggap bahwa SBY dan kawan2 termasuk pak JK dan beberapa menteri yang sangat qualified kaya bu Ani, bu Menkes, dll,, telah berusaha keras untuk membawa negri kita tercinta ini untuk bangkit kembali, tapi jangan berharap berlebihan donk, ROME WASN'T BUILT IN ONE DAY,, jadi MARI DUKUNG TERUS DAN LANJUTKAN,,hehe =)
Buat Pak SBY, pak tetap semangat ya, walaupun banyak orang menghujat bapak or bergabung bersama untuk menjatuhkan Bapak, kalo Bapak tetep berada di jalan Allah dan tetap berdoa dan berikhtiar, saya yakin Allah SWT akan tetap memberi berbagai macam kemudahan buat Bapak, amin ya Allah ya Rabbalalamin,,Jeongmal Kamsahamnida Pak, for givig me so much inspiration to be like u,,Harus Bisa Pak!!!

buat mahasiswa tahun akhir (final year student)
berhubung gw baru aja lulus,di tengah krisis finansial global ini, gw pengen share something
1. kalo lagi nyusun skripsi atau TA, apply for job from that on, coz u have to know that big companies mostly have very long recruitment stages,,jadi tenggat waktu lo nunggu setelah lulus ga terlalu lama,,cuma sayangnya beberapa company and mostly BUMN requires surat keterangan lulus dulu,,n banyak juga yang buka hanya pada bulan2 tertentu saja,,jadi ga bisa fleksibel
6. last but not least, sabar ya kalo tiap tahap mengharuskan lo untuk menunggu about 2 weeks, makanya jangan cuma daftar 1 tapi daftar juga yang lain buat cadangan
semangat dan keep positive
